Home Study Content and Format
The home study may be ordered either on audiotape or CD. Each kit contains 13 CD’s or cassettes, all slides and other course materials used at the live workshop, a post-test, and complete instructions.
Course Description
Dr. Burns describes three powerful models for the treatment of Anxiety Disorders: The Cognitive Model, the Behavioral Model, and the Hidden Emotion Model. He will illustrate numerous techniques for implementing each
model. He emphasizes that the purpose of therapy is to find the most effective intervention(s) for each patient as quickly as possible.
This home study does not present a grab bag of techniques or formulas for various disorders. Instead, participants learn to create a warm, vibrant collaborative relationship and develop a
systematic, individualized treatment plan that specifically targets each persons unique problems and needs.
